We are the voice for children and families to transform the public child welfare system.
As the oldest and largest child and family organizations in the country, we have been drivers of state and national legislation impacting the lives of children and families for more than a century. Today, with strong support of Children's Home Society of America, our member agencies are working closely with staff and members of Congress to transform the public child welfare system.
Every year, we visit the steps of the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. to ensure that the voice of children and families are heard when creating national legislation. We recently have been the leader in conversations around the implementation of the landmark Families First Preservation Service Act, which will result in the most significant transformation of the public child welfare system in the past 50 years.
